  • 1979 GMC High Siera 4wd & 1986 custom deluxe 2wd
a/c swap

i have a 1986 4.3 v6 AT 2wd custom deluxe. currently does not have a/c. My question im looking at buying a 1983 custom deluxe with a 350 v8 AT 2wd. It has factory air and my 86 does not. Will everything swap over or is there anything special i must purchase?

It will swap however you will have to do some work to the firewall. Using the donor as a template you can make the necessary modifications.

i thought i may have to do some cutting on the firewall that is good info thanks.
