My first car was a 1966 Plymouth Fury III (wish I still had), had a 1977 Monte Carlo which had custom paint work and a HP 383 and transmission built by a race team in Tampa FL for my car (The Monte Carlo was stolen in Denver, CO and never found). I bought my 81 Chevy K10 after my car was stolen in 86 at a Chevy dealership (It was a trade in vehicle). I had a 1976 Ford Bronco 4X4 that I regret having sold it. I also had 2002 (year unsure but close) Chevy Lumina (I did not like it - always had emergency brake sticking problems), and a Buick Le Sabre about a 2004 0r 05. I Currently have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe 4X4, 2006 Dodge Dakota 2WD V8 (For Sale), 2020 F250 Super Duty Super Cab FX4 (Recent Acquisition in Feb this year to pull my 22' car trailer I bought about 7 months ago. Of course I have my 81 K10 in my member thread.

I can't remember all but it is a long list starting out with a 76 Plymouth Duster in 1979.  I would buy and sell just because it was fun.  Before you "had" to have insurance and emission testing "Cook County" Illinois I kinda flipped cars like folks flip houses today.  Sellers trusted you with a signed undated title.  I too have my forever truck.

I forgot my 87 R10 305/700r4

Got it in 2004, wrecked it and a few months later grandad gave me the 78 C20 because I had nothing to drive.

First 3 pics are how I got it in 2004 new to me.

4th pic is the 400sbc I swapped into it in place of the old 305 that croaked.  I kept the tbi.  I put 454 injectors, and got the ecm out of a 350 caprice for it.  it wouldn't fuel enough with the stock 305 ecm.  i just filled the canted center bolt holes in the intake and only used the 8 front and rear bolts to bolt the intake on.  Didn't leak or have a problem while I had it.  Put in an afr guage and it said all was good with this setup.  This was before i got on the internet so I had to roam the junkyards and try something and see what happens.  it worked this time.  73 caprice 400sbc flew plate bolted right up to the 87 700r4 no mods.  Woulda kept that engine but it got blown when wrecking..  :o

Last two pics are the whoopise daisy.  I was doin dumb stuff.  Grandad saw the wrecked truck and laughed.  He used to do dumb stuff too i guess.  Wasn't what i was expecting.  thought hed get all over me but he never did.  gave me the gray truck a few months later.
