Been on here for a while and just came across this so I thought I would share.
My name is Dirk, I am 30 years old and I reside in Kentucky. I have a very understanding wife and a 4 year old son with another boy on the way. Family comes first with me and it seems that my truck will never be done but there are other priorities in my life greater than my truck.
I am a floor supervisor and have been with the same company for going on 10 years. I also work part time at my in-laws chicken farm to help out during the busy season and maintenence.
I have an 81 K10 Scottsdale SWB (aka Big Ugly) that I have had since I was around 17-18. Lifted 4" with 35X12.50's, TH350 and a built 400 with all the goodies.
I have many plans in store for her and I know that one day I can sit back and see what I have built.
I'm glad to be a part of this community, good folks here!

My name is Leevon, yes you heard me right, like the song but with two E's. If you find out why my parents named me that well then please let me know
. I am 28 years old, married with a 3 year old son named Tanner and I live in Arkansas, grew up in Missouri, Kansas, and lived in Miami, Fl for 5 years. For a living I am a project manager for a large general contractor and I work too much. When I'm not at church, work or being a husband and father I am in the garage or on web forums like this. I am a certified truck nut and nobody that is in my circle really understands
but of course that's where you guys come in. One good thing about having this addiction is that friends and coworkers think I have some magical power over automobiles. I have a 2008 Silverado, 2002 Tahoe, 1987 Silverado, and 1971 Cheyenne and I like them low and short. I enjoy working on them when I want to, not when I have to.

Hello All...My name's Jerod...
I drive an '82 C10 Scottsdale LWB that I bought for $100 from the daughter of a deceased beekeeper (really). It had 77k miles when I bought it, still had the window sticker in the glove box. He documented every single oil change and bit of maintenance since it was new. Really a great find. Replaced a few vacuum lines and the battery when I bought it, and now the little 250 straight six runs like a top. I'm up to 89k now, with no issues at all.
I've lifted it 2 inches front and rear with HD 3/4 ton coils up front and blocks in the back, just because it was SO long and low. Now it sits more like a 3/4 ton, which suits me. When I bought it, it had 205s on the stock rallys
, and I've since replaced them with 235x75x15s. After the lift, it really needs 31s.
I'm planning on replacing the rear "farm" bumper with a chrome sport bumper and cleaning up the interior (replacing the dashpad, seat cover, etc) and then it will be done, I think.
Really just came here looking for answers to certain little questions I had, and got tired of lurking...

Hello all, my name is Jerry and I live in McAlester Oklahoma. I am 39 and have been married almost 20 years. My daily driver is a 74 LWB C10 that was purchased new by my Grandfather and handed down through my Father to me. I have owned many 73-87 Chevy and GMC trucks, Blazers, Jimmys, and Suburbans over the years and am currently thinking of adding a 85 Chevy LWB to my collection. I work in the retail parts trade and have been an ASE certified parts pro for more than 10 years. I look forward to sharing lots of great info with you all.

Hi y'all. My name is Amy. Kelly and I have been married for almost 13 years. We have a 4, almost 5-year-old daughter named Michaela. We have 3 dogs, Chica, Samantha and Bandit, as well as 2 cats, Tiny and Big Block. Had a wolf named Trapper, but had to put him down after 12 good years. We live in Gardendale Texas and probably always will.
We have lots of vehicles, 22 or 23 at last count. My truck is an 81 chevy 3/4 ton that I claimed when we got married. Also have a 76 chevy 1/2 ton stepside that my daughter has claimed. Have another 76 chevy 1/2 ton that is a short bed. Our most recent purchases are the 85 chevy extended cab, 86 GMC extended cab and 86 Chevy extended crew cab dually. I guess you can say we have went crazy with the extended cabs, but when you find them and can get such a good deal on them, why not. We are hoping to have the extended cabs ready to take to one of the local car shows in May. Our other daily drivers are 2001 Chevy extended cab, 2000 pontiac ws6 firebird, 2004 chevy suburban, 2001 chevy crewcab dually and 2008 chevy extended cab. Out of all the vehicles that we have, we pay insurance and registration on 11 of them. There is no chance of us not having anything to drive.
Enjoy car shows, camping and concerts. We support a lot of the local Christian rock bands. Kelly is the youth director at our church, so we spend a lot of time with the youth. We spend more time with them then we do our own family. Really enjoy these great trucks. This site is awesome. Thanks to some of you guys, now I want to do a frame off restoration on one of our trucks.

Hello all, just found this site a week ago and everyone seems so friendly and knowledgable I had to join.
My name is Jesse, I'm 28 and married with a wicked cool 8 month old son, two dogs that think they're people and a turtle. I'm a full time plant operator at a power plant and a part time farmer on the family farm (I'm 4th generation). I wound up with a truck that my grandfather bought brand new for the farm...a 1984 GMC sierra 2500 4x4. The only options he got were 4-wheel drive and the 350 M code engine, it's a 4 speed and had an AM radio when I got it. He added a 9' snow plow later which I also have. I drove it for a number of years through high school and college before I had to have something better on fuel, then I used it for plowing snow and some local truck pulling competitions and showed the newer trucks a thing or two (I want to put "Hemi eater" on the back window). Sad to say now it's not running and needs a ton of body work and a little mechanical work to be road worthy again, but I'll be tackling that as time and money allow. There is so much good tech on here I feel like I can tackle the project and it doesn't seem so overwhelming. You guys have given my "want to" back....now I really WANT TO get the old girl going again.

I currently own a 2001 chevy tahoe on 22's, A 2001 chevy silverado flamed out. And a 77 chevy Blazer project and have owned many other hot rods. I love going to car & Truck shows with my family. I started my girls working on cars when they were old enough to walk. So hopefully when it's time we will have a few more truck projects around the time they start driving.
