85 Blazer electrical haywire
« on: June 21, 2007, 10:38:15 pm »
I have a 85 K-5 Blazer and the other night i pulled out of the parking lot and when i hit the gas the headlights, taillights, dashlights and lighter went out. The alternator was pushing around 14 amps before this happened now it pushes 12. I have checked every ground I can find and did the best i could at the wiring but it seems to be something wrong in the fuse block. I pulled the block apart to check the wires and when i put it back together i didn't start. pulled apart again and it started when put together. I have even checked the wires themselves looking for melting point or something.  Am I missing something or is it time for a $530.00 painless pill. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :-\

Well I would check how you put back together the fuse block and make sure it went together 100%

Check your fusible links at the junction block on the firewall and down near the starter
