Hey everyone,
Well its been well over a month since any real updates.I`m now out of a cast and there is no more operations in the future.I am going to physical therapy starting this thursday.I been cleared to go back to work on the 17th of september but we will see if i can recover that fast or not.I am headed to rhode island on the 1st to see family till the 8th.Once i get back im gonna get going on the truck again.I`m going to do alot of odds and ends to it.I took a couple of pics before i injured myself of the spot work i did to the door and the gas door i had laying around i painted as well with the door.I`m happy this road to my recovery is almost done.I also decided the spring of 2012 the magnum i own is going to get traded in for a 2012 hyundai sonata.I am buying it for the future wife and i am going to just concentrate on the projects and get them done.I may look for another 73-87 truck but for now thats up in the air cause i really want a nova like i mentioned before.
thanks
pat

Pat,
Looks good man. I'm no Nova fan but after all of these truck projects get done my next venture may be a Challenger. I agree totally with what you said about the build. I would never buy someone elses build and be happy. I need to put my paint brush on the canvas.
You wont be far away on your next venture. I may be heading to RI over labor day weekend and into the next week since I'm using some vacation time. We'll see if I make it back from Wyoming next week first!
Glad you're progressing (health wise)

Vile,
if your gonna be in RI labor day weekend let me know if you like we can meet somewhere for a bite and chill out for a few if your up to it.I couldn`t buy another persons finished project like mentioned. To me there is no fun at all.I been throwing thoughts between a 72 nova or a 67-9 chevelle or a el camino.Either way i just want to have a bare body and build it to how i would want it.Color, drivetrain etc, you got the idea what i wrote on the other forum. This is why i started with a cab a frame and a vision on how i wanted it to turn out.Actually it turned out better then i thought. And you being a perfectionist too as it shows in your work and rigs you dont skimp or take corners on your work, its just not you.I`m sure when you injured your arm it really took the wind out of you, couldn`t do much and you were afraid to do more damage to it.Big Bear, thanks man i`m feeling good, just a lil akward to try n walk since i haven`t in almost 4 months on that leg.But i`m getting there and thank you all for the great words and thoughts it means alot to me..
thanks

Pat, I can only echo the sentiments of so many others. Your truck is a jewel and get well soon. Nice to see you finding that silver lining, it could have been worse.

Hey everyone,
Well a small update on me, i am now walking without any crutches or a cane. The leg is getting stronger and october 3rd i go back to work full time. For the month of october im just gonna focus on getting the funds replenished and then in november im going to get back on the truck.I want to get the glass in as well as finish the brakes and fuel and plumb the motor and tranny.I`m happy how fast things are progressing here.I talked to my powdercoater and told him i got some parts from my 70 cougar im going to have done.So look forward to more pics of the upcomming months.I am stoked to get back into the shop and get going on this truck.
thanks

Hey everyone,
I know its been almost 3 months(where has the time gone??) since i last posted on my thread.I went back to work in october and trying to get back into the swing of things.I traded in my 2005 dodge magnum for a 2012 hyundai sonata(fully loaded). And for right now i havent done anything to the truck due to funds. After septermber of next year im giving myself a goal to get it done within 1 year and i am making sure i keep my word on it.Then within 3 years my 70 cougar will be done to.But i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving.
thanks
pat
p.s. here is a pic of the truck i took today on dollies i so want this to be done!!!

Pat, glad to hear you are back up and getting around. I think your goal of finishing your truck is like everyone's else's, all well intentioned and all, but you know life just keeps getting in the way.
Keep up the great work and it will happen.
