spark plugs

what is the problem if my spark plugs have a kind of orange glaze on one side of them

When was the last tune up. Do you us any aditives in your gas.

its been a little while but not that long and i dont drive it daily. and no ive not poured anything in it since these plugs. been having small problem. feels like a missfire. soo just checking to see.

It may be running lean.I have never seen orangeish or pinkish color on plugs.

well i pulled the front one out of each side. and they were the same didnt pull the others out. And no i havent made any changes. i just put a new trans in and every since then it hasnt ran right

when you put the new trans in did you tilt the engine unsupported? Maybe the distributor cap hit the firewall (crack)? did you knock a vacuum hose off?

ive pulled the cap and everything everything looks legit. but at idle it  has a small shake not real noticeable. but going down the road if i punch it under load it misses and sometimes backfires

and it's ever since you replaced your trans? Double check your cap and your connections/wires

i dont that. pulled each one checked em. pulled the cap checked for cracks cleaned it out. checked rotor.  im starting to think it might be my carburetor but dont know a lot about this edelbroc

honestly it sounds like a vacuum leak.  you should try spraying starting fluid (or something similar) around the base of the intake...see if the idle changes.  i'd bet it's a blown intake gasket...maybe around the back of the motor...i'd spray on the intake as well, to make sure there's no hairline cracks that you can't see with the naked eye...

ok ill check it out. now that you say something when i was washing the motor i noticed it change tone.
