Here are some pictures of my doors after epoxy, and three coats of 2K primer.

This picture is with guide coat sprayed on so I can start sanding:

Starting to sand with 320 sand paper:

Keep sanding until all the guide coat comes off:

Door finished, waiting to be wax and grease removed, then sealer (reduced epoxy) then color and clear:

I am doing it piece by piece.  I have the hinges, hood and bed left to do.  I'm hoping to have the painting completed by the end of February.  It's been a long process  :-\

Looks really good. I wish I was ready to start priming! Not even close yet.
The invite is still open for you to come to Austin and do my body and paint......
I'll even help!

Are those new doors, your originals, or replacements?

those are replacements I picked up at the junk yard.  They are off of a 1991 Suburban.  My originals were too much work to try and repair.

Thanks for the compliments.

Lookin good.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Here is an update on my project:

I do bodywork and paint in my heated detached garage and assembly in my attached UNheated garage:

Time for some wiring:
(ignore the orange peel in my door :-[)

I have the interior lights, heater fan working along with the power windows and door locks.  Had to replace the drivers side lift motor (still have all my fingers - THANKS to this forum and Jeff's 73-87.com/garage site).

I have the wires going to their respective place but have not tied most in:

Truck as it sits right now:

I have the bottom of the hood painted and should finish painting the top this weekend.

Thanks for looking - Jeff :)

The blue is Southern Polyurathane inc. viper blue.

That's good Chris - I didn't know where to add updates since I have many threads started ;D
