Doesn't matter on the molding. You could get it out of an 87 and it will fit.

i was looking at my cab and i seen a dent on the outside and in the inside there you could see it to what should i do about this i tryed to fix it with a hammer but did not work out my best guess is to take a spot welder and do it that way

Ditto what blazin said, you got enough other major things to worry about. Get back to it after the rest of the truck is almost perfect. The only way you are going to finish is to stay focused.

ok i was working on these holes and waiting to get a welder and weld them up but i dont know if i should put filler in them or weld them which one would be the best

i'd weld them myself, but then again, i don't like body filler. body filler would hold up well in a place like that and i don't think anyone would ever know but you. i have those same holes in mine, but only 4...i had a gun rack too...i still have it actually, i took it out...its behind my seat, lol

yea i have 4 that is from a gun rack and the others i dont know where they come from but if i did weld them how would i do it with a mig welder

Start off slowly by building up around the hole, go slowly cause you dont want it to fall out and melt the metal then your really screwed, build up the metal, grind it down and if you see small little pin holes, tack it snd grind again till theres really nothing left but a smooth surface, but after your done i reccomend using USC all metal to smooth the work , it wont crack, shrink or peel if applied correctly.

Find a small bolt thats just bigger than the hole. Tap it down so the head is just below the panel then weld in. All u need then is a quick skim and hey presto. It also helps to stop any filler from sinking as you've now got a solid base to work from.
My trucks got all sorts welded in to bridge small gaps etc and it saves cutting out good metal to get to it.

and for really tight places thread a nut onto a bolt that fits the hole. spot weld the nut to the body then unscrew bolt and nut stays there
