Has anyone else heard this rumor?

About three years ago a guy came up to me while I was fueling my ’87 Chevy truck at the gas-station where I live. He talked to me about my truck and told me that he had heard that GM was planning on redesigning their trucks to have a general overall appearance, similar to the ’73-‘87 (full-size) trucks. I didn’t pay it that much attention at first, but just yesterday someone told me the same thing again. Could it be true? I have seen pictures of the new Chevy trucks that are coming out soon, but they look nothing like the ’73-‘87s. Maybe people are talking about the next body style that will replace the ones that are coming out later this year.

Have not heard anything like that, but that would be fine by me. I have not liked chevys style since they switched in 88.
They should make them the exact style only tighten up their tolerances so panels line up/fit better. Then install the latest and greatest drivetrain technology. And for the sake of all things good, bring back the solid front axel for the 4x4 guys.

I'll take mine over any new design they could ever produce.  Besides, I don't wanna pay $60k for a new style truck.

i haven't heard anything like that. thst thing above looks funky. i hope they don't come out with a truck that looks like the 73 -87s they'll just screw it up.
