I see a extra standoff on the top one between the oil pressure and speedo

BTW, I am wondering why you are even considering changing clusters as they are identical as far as gauges offered?   ???

That's because someone broke it off...

The circuit boards are identical. I think that is what we were trying to find out, right?

Did your old one ever work? If so, it looks like you should have no troubles, then.

Same cluster.  1978-80.  You could swap everything over to the housing if you wanted...

yes, that is correct.
If it was a 77 cluster, you would see a hole where the oil pressure gauge it for a metal line to connect to.

An ammeter would have used that hole and the top one would be empty. But the connector would have been + instead of ground. Your whole system's current would be flowing thru the meter. That is why you can't use an ammeter circuit panels with the voltmeters and visa versa AND why so many questions were asked before we told you it would work. sizzle, sizzle.

I just re-read my post... It could have been read as a sarcastic response, but I did not mean it that way. You have put a lot of work into your truck, and I want to see you succeed, too.
