Thanks fellas!

I got my tailgate top protector on today.  I bought it back in november 08 and just now got around to it...lol   I don't care for the look, I liked it better before, but It's either that or have skint up paint all along the top, since I do use it. :-\

here ya go

Got new shoes today.  Goodyear Wrangler TD's  265/75/16.  The other tires turned out to be ovals instead of circles...lol

Despite the tread pattern, they are REAL quiet, ride good too.

I repainted the Grille and headlight buckets black, and I got the CHEVROLET on the tailgate band Painted black also since it didn't show up at all painted gold, even up close!

I'm loving your license plate!

Hey..Your truck looks awesome. Makes mine look like a real old truck. I like alot of the things you did keeping the clean "old school" look.

What lugnuts did you use to mount the new style wheels on your truck? Did you have to change the wheel studs? I have 1998 gmc 8 lug center caps on some old chrome modular wheels on my 1976 3/4 ton truck.  I just re-tapped two wheel studs to mount the caps, but I dont want to do all of them for fear of them not being strong enough.  By the way, your truck looks good.

They sell the 9/16 lugnut with the outer thread for the center cap.  I got mine on ebay but not sure the name of the store.  Someone here will know where to get them.  They were not cheap thought.  I think the set cost me close to 50.00

Thank you for the compliments guys!

Figured I'd add this to my thread...

My daughter Destiny got to drive her first vehicle bigger than a golf cart today.  The golf cart paid off getting her good at driving.  She didnt scare me once.   Shes only 11!  I'm so proud of her!

Look out for that tree.  ;) Just kidding.  She did great.  A couple more years and you may lose your truck.  My high school truck was my 81 C20.  The boys were jealous.
