Anyone know where/how I can find parts fot a broken automatic trans indicator?  the one on top of the steering column...Mine just stays in park, regardless of gear...

It's an 82 K10 with the TH350
1982 Shortbed K10 Silverado.  305 ci with a mild cam, full true dual exhaust (Long tube headers, "H" pipe, and Thrush Turbo mufflers.  4x4, and otherwise completely stock.  about 153,000 miles.

Any of the online truck catalogs have the little cable that tends to break, maybe even your local parts house's "Help!" section.

Capt, do you carry them?

Fishing line works if the cable snapped and if the ear that it rides in is snapped I just usually run the cable around a screw threaded into the cluster.

I have a couple of the cables, springs, and metal panels for 3 speeds if someone needs one. I don't have any extra overdrive ones tho. Send me a pm with your address. No charge.
The orange plastic indicators can be found on eBay from time to time. I don't have any of those either.

I found a couple good ones (that I replaced mine with) at a local yard. At one point, we had about 15 c/k series trucks to pick and pull.

these indicators are spendy through the mags. Almost free at the yard. :-)
