If you're 6'2" 255lbs like me, then 91 suburban seats, period.   Best seats I ever had in anything, even beat the lincoln.  They fit me like a glove, no kidding.

I am using a 40-20-40 out of an '06 Ram Quad cab. I hate to use anything but GM, but the seat was free and it is comfy. It took some fabrication, but it uses the original 4 seat mounting holes, and it tied in to the middle 2 seat belt bolts as well. Also under the middle seat fits a 10" sub. The only thing I dont like about it is the seats don't fold too far ahead so it's a reach to store anything back there.

i was actually considering some ram seats as well, for some reason they seem to be cheaper and easier to find than chevy seats and alot of them come in leather. id really like to find one of the old ford seats that have the middle jump seat with the bottom seat part that lifts up and has a fridge under it, that would be so perfect for camping! haha.

"I have sat in a bunch of seats and still prefer the stock bucket seats out the 89-91 Suburban with the dual armrests."

Is there any modification that goes with puting suburban seats in a blazer?

remove the pedastals from the Blazer seats and mount them to the Burb buckets.  I should have pics soon.

I wonder what it would take to adapt 89-91 suburban seats into a truck, but have them be able to slide forwards and backwards? In case I needed to let someone shorter than me drive, that is.

I need a console that also doubles as an armrest. A lot of the consoles are too low to the ground to do that, so I have to be selective of how I do my setup.

88-91 burb buckets just need the rear bent and you need the front inner brackets and they will bolt in.  That is what 78 Chevyrado had posted.

Sorry I guess I must have misunderstood what he is saying. So to clarify, are you saying that the rear seat bracket needs to be bent for them to bolt in? From some of the other threads, I thought that some welding/cutting had to be done just to get those seats out of the suburban.

You have to remove the inner mount (cut) and weld it to the truck (weld)

I didn't have any good cutting tools when I went to the junkyard to get my seats, so I took a big chisel and a big hammer and cut holes in the floor, and took that home and then separated the bracket from the piece of floor.  Some people weld in their mounts, but mine had feel on there so I was able to just bolt mine in

The Red circles are the new mounting locations for the 91 bucket seats, reuse all 4 of the original bench seat mounting holes.  the blue stuff is for the matching console.

If you get the seat rails bent properly in the back, you can use all the old bench seat holes again, and you have to mount up the inner front floor bracket, and then just drill a hole for the inner rear mount.   When bending the rear of the tracks, you have to watch you get them bent evenly left to right or the seat will lean, trial and error here.

im 1/2 way through getting 02 silverado seats into the truck, working too much at the new job to get it done fast, ive made a frame for the bottoms so that it alows the seats to sit lower, and its turned out great, ill post picks when i get it close to done.
