Thanks Don! I'm glad you liked it :-)  yes most definitely!  Hopefully I will be lol we will see

Yesterday got the hoses on the radiator and clamped down and nice and snug, hopefully no leaks! Also picked up a heater core yesterday when I picked up the hoses. Had to get a fitting for the manifold to run the hose off of it to the heater core. Also finally after multiple tries I have the right length power steering belt!  I've got the tachometer where I'd like to have it so I'm drilling holes and mounting that today, hopefully will have it wired up too... The fans I want to wire to a toggle switch for a manual setup on/off. We will see if I get to that today..

I want to scrape off the old gasket on the diff cover and housing today as well, refill with fluid. The new starter wouldn't bolt up to the block....? So I had to have the old starter which luckily I hung onto ,,, installed instead,, and amazingly enough had enough to crank the motor over ... I was floored... Also the alternator is a 4 wire connector. Newer model truck style. I need a two wire connection. So I'm going to put the old alternator on for now and hope it works...

It's not pretty and dolled up on the outside, ie a paint job , but a good wash and lots of buffing and wax should do wonders.... Need to paint the axles , they stick out like a sore thumb...made quite a bit of progress guys from where it last was

It looks good. Get the axles painted, put the bumper on it and just enjoy it! Do you like that steering wheel? I had the same one on my truck. We took it off because the two inch adapter moved the steering wheel way back. I didn't like that at all. I loved the wheel but didn't like the install kit.

I still have some work to do, install light bulbs on gauges, hook pos and neg wires to it, replace brakes front and rear, torque down u bolts, hook emergency brake up, install bolts on bed, I have two in place, adjust front clip, torque down, replace hoses to fuel tank , replace bearings seals in axles, rear diff service, tranny service, t-case service, tighten down front grill after getting screws , replace front lights, cut/weld the dual exhaust, get lug nuts for axles, get different rims eventually, needs an alignment, needs steering stabilizer installed, needs two other shocks installed, needs floor of cab cut out, welded up, needs new dash pad , carpet, mats, liner, the whole 9 yards, need to coat the door panels and replace or paint the handles, motor needs tweaked a little, the spring for the clutch pedal needs installed, I have a leak in the cooling system and need to address that and figure it out, replace shifter with different one I have, hook up heater levers to heater core box, replace passenger mirror, paint axles, replace several studs on rear axle, mount toggle switch for fans ( hooked up ) , build new front and rear drive shafts, bigger yoke on the tranny and transfer case shafts, replace rubber bushings up front , install battery hold down clamp/bar, fill with fuel,  test drive and see if truck drives okay, then I'll work out all the bugs, lol it's been a ridiculous process, so much to do still lol jeez maybe I shouldn't of thought up this list haha, and I'm sure there is other things

And on the wheel, yeah I totally dig the wheel! But it's just a hair close for me, an inch further back and it would be better, but hey , I like it enough that unless I can do something about the closeness of it, I'm going to keep it the way it is.

Also, audio was poor due to being inside the storage unit ,,,, lol I know it probably,,,,,,,,actually,,, was not the best idea,,, that's impatience a little bit on my part.... But truck is out of storage now,,,, I can't pull it into the driveway because of construction , so the gravel driveway is where it will be for another week....

Oh and the reason why it was just cranking first is because we had to get fuel to it ....

Looking good!
I would love to see your truck sometime. I'll bring mine and coffee or beer.
