He doesn't need luck, unless he's decided to try out a new method for securing the oil pump pickup tube. :P

The rebuild is done. I'm still just waiting on the stupid oil pan. I have already fabricated a new pick up that will fit the pan perfect and won't break! lol You shoulda seen the look on my face when I dropped the pan. Disbelief! I cannot find the broken piece where the pick up bolted on. I was hoping to send it back to Summit to show them but I cleaned my whole garage and it's mia. Probably in a pile of speedy dry in the bottom of the garbage. Nevertheless the pan should be here Thursday so this weekend I'll be plopping it back in the truck and then back onto the body work.

OK Update. I finally got the new pan and pick-up and installed it all. I was planning on putting it in last night but decided to go out and take a break. Literally. I busted my foot and am on crutches and just got back from the hospital. So it looks like I'll be waiting to put the engine in until I'm healed up. Everything Looks great and is ready to bolt together. If I can hobble out to my garage later I'll take some pics. We have a snow storm coming and I don't know how I'm going to clear the snow  :'(

Sorry to here about the busted foot. Prop it up put ya a cooler beside your chair so you don't have to get up often and drink your medicine. But seriously just take it easy and give it time to heal right or it will bother you more in the long run.

I like valve cover B.  I like that red, I been thinking about doing my small block red when I take it out.  Thought it might go with my interior if ya know what I mean.

Thanks everybody. yeah it was quite an annoying set back and busting my foot isn't helping either. I'm also supposed to go Wednesday for Lasik so who knows when I'll actually get it back in the truck. I took a percocet and it makes me feel good enough to go outside barefoot and get it all done lol  ;D but I know better.

Anyway here's a few pix

Tell me about it. I just took the hinges off of my mutt project, painted the cab floor and the firewall. I'm planning on plopping the engine in this week.
