TODAY is a Great Day to visit our Store and order the parts you need for your truck ! ! !
Right now the 402 is in pieces. The motor came out of a 72 chevelle. When i got it it was just a bare block and i got it in a package deal with a 68 396 shortblock which i plan on putting aside. The 72 was just a 2 bolt main and nothing else except the main caps.I since then bought a set of 049 oval port heads, got a gear drive(noisy, i like that sound of a blower), a set of valve covers, a billet timing chain cover, a forged steel crank already cut 10/10 and just recently the intake.I plan on painting the motor the same color as the truck and add alot of BLING BLING to the motor.I also picked up a original 69 396 350hp air cleaner assenbly that needs rechroming.I`m gonna let a shop decide on cam, pistons and rods to use for the build when the time comes.I got a real nasty 700r4 i bought a few months ago that supposedly snaps a mean 2nd gear so back that up with a 402 and a 12 bolt 3.73 rear i see a sweet hotrod in the making. The wagon is a mothers day gift my father n 1 gave her 2 years ago.But the weather took its toll and destoyed the wood.So instead of letting it rot away i hauled it into our shop, tore it completly apart.Had some axles and some other pieces made and made a whole new box, powderocated all the brackets and used all new hardware, repainted the entire chasssis, clearcoated it and now were finishing up the box so i can paint it and reinstall the box and get it outside on the front yard so i can put my cougar back in the corner where it has lost its spot since november of 07.thankspatp.s. the guy that did the axle making said this is 1 of the oldest wagons he has seen in a very long time and could date back to the mid 1800s. He said if he wasnt so far away he offer 5,000 for it.Well if he offered 5,000 for it i say its worth at least 7,500 maybe more.So its a mothers day gift and it`ll be done and its now going to be better then before as all the bed wood is pressure treated and everything was painted in oil base and then 6 coats of clear added for protection. and all brushed on.Will i ever do another 1? 2 words HECK NO lol.......
