It goes to the bottom of the hump on the rear.  I don't have any install pics, but I think bigblock73 might.  He bought the first one I sold.

I fired the truck up for the first time on Saturday. ;D  When I initially tried to start it - it back fired through the carburator.  I had the distributor 180 degrees out (pointing to #6).  Fixed that and it fired up as soon as I turned the key.  WHEW!!!

I watched the tempurature and oil pressure while I was running it at 2000 rpm.  I ran it at 2000 rpm for 20 minutes.  The oil pressure stayed at around 50/51 psi, the tempurature stayed around 190 degrees and the voltage was 14.5.   Everything sounded good (LOUD) and although there was some intermittent misses (still need to time it - I was by myself when I did this) everything went as expected.

Now for the gremlins  >:(

1.  The fuel gauge not working - still reads 0.0
2.  Interior lights staying on when doors are shut - I had this working.
3.  Passenger side window motor quit working - it heats up and stops working.

Now for the good news, besides it starting.  When I finished filling the transmission, and put it into reverse - the rear wheels started to spin when I tried to back her up (no bed on it).  BOTH WHEELS SPUN - posi-traction ;D  Looks like someone replaced the rear - still need to take off the diff. cover and see what the gearing is.

Well that's it for now - I'll post a video when I get a chance.

Well here she is:

Still need to wire the back lights :D

Here is a good side look - I need to do front end work before I put the new tires and rims on the front:

I want to do some stripes - How would you do them any suggestions?  Nothing heavy

Awesome! I wouldn't stripe it. Are you planning on lowering it? It looks like it sits pretty high. What are you putting on for mirrors?

Yes, sorry, I can't remember where I had it :D

I think it looks good without stripes, but my son thinks there should be some.

I don't know right now.  My son doesn't want it lowered right now.  We will have to see when we get the front tires and wheels on.  These are the mirrors I will be putting on.  The ones that came off were in really good condition, so I will reuse them.  I want to color sand and buff before putting them back on.

Man. Great job, Jeff!  :o I noticed on your signature that your boy lost interest. Has he changed his mind now?
