looks like the hammer tone finish or speckle whichever you'd want to call it, or even spatter paint like for trunks.

They're powder coated. The shaft's and washers are powder black. The control arms are matched to the DJM uppers

The industry calls that special effects powder a spice color, which includes hammertones, multi-color and river textures. They did a nice job matching the uppers for sure.

That is a sweet looking truck.
The first pic reminds me of my brother's first '73. It, too was a black long bed, aluminum slots, same stance, except he had a mustang hood scoop turned around instead of a cowl inducted hood, 1990 "454 SS" on the bedsides instead of 454 on the fenders and a Lund cab spoiler.

Well it's been a while but I made some slick progress. First I cleaned my garage. It was such a disaster area I couldn't even walk in there. After I did that I moved the frame back away from the lift so I can finish working on the cab without the lift that was in my way. The firewall is about 75% done with the fabrication. I got the drivers door back on and aligned with the new rocker and cab corner which makes me
I'll have some pix soon.
