That looks very nice.  But those rusty manifolds really stick out like a sore thumb now.

Nice Setup so far Chris, Really like the M/T Covers as I have some for my truck 8)  Just curious though, is that a Standard Water Pump, instead of a Reverse Rotation Long Pump used with the Serpentine Setup(Doesn't the Standard Rotation Pump also lack some of the proper Mounting location for the Serp. Parts???) ???

Its a serpentine water pump.  The serpenting brackets don't bolt to the waterpump, the only bolt to the heads and block on the front side.
I forgot to mention that if you are doing this it is easier if you put the brackets on before the pump and pulley...

Ok I got you now, couldn't think of the missing head mounting locations, until it jumped out and smacked me in the above pic :o Thats the Passenger side, below the Valve Cover, AC Mount, to the left of the idler pulley....  Hmph never reliezed that those points would be missing from the heads, I remember seeing some of those already drilled & tapped into the Heads from my Pop's Old '79 267, and the 85 Camaro 305...  Both of those engines were Pre-Sepentine Set-ups, so don't know why they would have had them... ???

Saturday April 2nd 2008:Put the Jimmy up on jackstand, pulled the driveshaft out, unbolted the trans crossmember and torque converter and pulled the selector linkage off.

Sunday April 3rd 2008: supported the engine and trans, removed the trans cooler lines, pulled the wiring out of the way, dropped the crossmember and unbolted the trans.  Was doing all this by myself but ended up getting Jamie's assistance when the trans tried to fall off the jack.  Got it most of the way down while holding it and then it slipped.   Luckily it didn't fall.  Pulled it out from under the truck and then a buddy came over with his family and played with Jamie and Elizabeth while he and I got the 700R4 up and bolted to the engine and installed the trans mount.  Still gotta bolt up the converter and drill new holes for the crossmember and put the driveshaft back in.

BTW, All the pre 86 350's I have ever had only have 3 on the drivers side head front, or 2 on the drivers side back.  Once you switch it to the other side it is reversed.

I doubt it.  I dug these out of my parent garage.  They have been sitting there for probably 20 years...

Saturday April 12th 2008:Bolted up the Torque converter, modified/bent and reconnected the tranny lines.

Sunday April 13th 2008:Dropped the transmission pan. replaced the filter and drilled new holes for the 700 posistion.  Get this, I screwed up and ended up marking one side wrong.  Yippie.  Now I got to see if I can fix it..

I wish I could just let out a sarcastic "Yippie" when I make a mistake like that.  When I royally screw up I go to my "dark place" and the expletives fly.

Monday April 14th 2008: Ordered a set of Thorley Headers and Y-pipe.

Drilling these holes wrong was nothing in comparison to trying to get the trans lines hooked up, espeically the lower one.  I got so mad at it I had to walk away twice.

I usually throw things, then walk away.  Last weekend was one of those weekends.  Thus my latest rant on another thread - I feel for you brother :-X

Don't you love when you spend all day making sweet love to your truck only to have it fart in our face? lol Why were your trans lines giving you so much trouble? BTW take pix.

Only thing I can figure is that they hated me.  Actually the previous owner of the truck bent the crap out of the lines where they go into the trans.  It has a kink about 2" back or so and I couldn't get it started.  I didn't actually take pics but I can get a pic of what it looks like with it in there and my screwed up holes.  :D
