LOL.  Funny how stuff sort of "accumulates" in the bed while working on the truck.  Very nice sound.

Ya the weekend before that, I cleaned the bed out too! LOL  Its still got extra crap in the back that doesn't belong!  I dig the old school lawn chars in the back though, adds to the redneck effect.

I used Photobucket.com uploaded them from my PC.  They then give you a link you can use to post them on Forums or email them to friends.

That's the exact same exhaust I was gonna do on our 84 was 2 pieces of pipe and 2 thrush chambered mufflers, did you have to bend the pipes any to make em fit? Got any sound clips? Compared to a flowmaster 40 how do they sound? are they queiter or louder then flow 40?

There are video clips on page 3 of the thread.  I have no clue how they compare to a Series 40.  I purchased to 3" by 4ft long pipes from Summit, and had down pipes from a 6.0L C2500 truck, I used for the bends.  All of the exhaust was cut and welded, so its all mandral type bends.

LOL sorry didn't even see the vids. I'd like to see more pics underneath if you get around to it or whatever. I got a factory y-pipe on it now but was going to put on long tube headers, and I wondered if the straight pipes would hook up or not without needing bent. I was gonna take them to the exhaust shop, let them bend em, then weld them to the reducers and mufflers, then hang em up myself.

Sounds really good.

As a comparison to a single in dual out flowmaster 40 I think that one sounds deeper, and maybe not quite as loud, but more less raspy, or drone/resonance to it. Very nice sounding, we'll definately be ordering those now for the 84. thanks for the vidoes.

Seat looks good. Just curious if you had it recovered. I'm looking for a comparable re-covering of my bench and was wondering what it ran you. Trucks looking good!

My seat is actually a work truck bench out of an early 90's GM work truck.  Its Twead and all, actually looks pretty nice too!  It has a small tare on the drivers side that I need to sew up.  I traded an 01 Silverado seat for it, was going to be to much work to get the 01 seat in it.

I'll snap some more pics of the exhaust after I get my tail pipes on it.  If your going to put long tubes on it, your going to have to have a bend made or do one your self to get up and over the tranny X member.  I would suggest if you want to keep your cost down and have a mig welder, to buy pre-bent tube from Summit or Jegs.  They offer a "hot rod" or "street rod" kit that is all Manderal bent pipes that you can weld together to make a complete system.  For the price that an exhaust shop charges, it can be worth the time and head ache to do it your self.  Plus if you don't like it, you only have your self to blame, or if it looks good, you can be proud of it!
